Pet Hamsters
When I began living away from my parents, I stayed in a condominium unit with my sister at first, then by myself. The condominium association only allows small pets so I took in hamsters instead of dogs.
Pica-pica
Pica-Pica was my very first hamster. She has beady eyes & has a talent for keeping an amazing number of sesame seeds in her cheek pouches. She's also quite photogenic, don't you think? She always strikes a pose whenever the camera's pointed in her direction.
Cream Puff
Cream Puff is a sweetheart. She's so well-behaved & she always makes sure that her house is clean & well-organized. In one of these pictures, she's sitting on her favorite yellow blankie.
Coco
Coco, seems to be half-sloth & half-hamster. She naps whenever she's not playing or eating. She's as entertaining as a midget clown because she has a number of hilarious antics like playing tug-of-war w/ a bread stick or raw spaghetti.
Marmalade
Marmalade is afraid of heights! Once, I saw her jump from my computer desk to the floor w/ her eyes closed. She must have thought it was the bravest feat she'd ever managed to pull off. She likes grapes so much that she can finish 3 big ones in one sitting.
Pandabear Sr.
>Pandabear Sr., the first boy hamster I ever owned. He's as well-mannered as Cream Puff. He is Biscuit's boyfriend. He & Biscuit had 8 cubs, 4 were given away & the other 4 were kept (Pandabear Jr., Snowbear, Chocobun & Florabelle). He proved to be a very good Dad as he helped Biscuit take care of the cubs when they were very little.
Biscuit
Biscuit is a very curious teddybear ham-ham. Whenever she notices anyone doing something interesting, she investigates. I let her run free in my condo but whenever she's ordered to go home, she actually does! Aside from being curious, she's also obedient. She is also a very good Mommy. She made sure all of her cubs drink enough milk - she picks each one of them up & drops them near the milk bowl.
Chocobun
Chocobun inherited her looks from Biscuit. She's a very sweet, well-behaved & shy hammie. Among Biscuit's girl cubs, she's my favorite. She has a very plump chest & tummy but has very tiny hands & feet!
Pandabear Jr.
Pandabear Jr. or "Juju" for short, inherited his looks from his Daddy, Pandabear Sr. Juju loves veggies & fruits but is not much of a meat eater! He likes lettuce, tomato & soy.
Florabelle
Florabelle is a spunky hammie. Don't let the girly name decieve you. Despite her darling face & name, she's really hyperactive & gets punished often for gnawing on furniture legs. She escapes from her cage quite often & she's really very difficult to catch.
Snowbear
Snowbear is an albino hamster. He has Biscuit's snub nose but has Pandabear Sr.'s girth in the tummy area. He has white fur & pink eyes. He's grown so huge that he's already bigger than his Dad - he's a giant compared to other fully-grown hamsters. Snowbear loves to run on his spinner & though he may burn a lot of calories everyday, he manages to keep himself plump. His nickname is "Snowie"
