Cute FTP Tutorial
FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. It is a reliable tool used for transferring files from one place to another more efficiently than a web-based file manager. An FTP Program has several advantages over a file manager like shifting to & from ASCII & BINARY transfer modes, as well as editing file CHMOD/Properties.
This is a tutorial on how to use a popular FTP Program, Cute FTP, created by our friends at Globalscape. Before you proceed with this tutorial, make sure that the following requirements are met:
- Your webhost allows FTP access.
- You must have FTP address, username & password available.
- You must have a copy of Cute FTP installed on your pc.
